Oamaru - Steampunk

Don was instrumental in the development of the Steampunk HQ project in Oamaru, New Zealand, and various other Steampunk related projects in the coastal town.

He developed large sculptural amusements for the local seaside children’s playground which have proven to be a huge hit with locals and visitors.

His Steam train, sitting outside Steampunk HQ, has become iconic, and reflects the town’s love of things both vintage and new: Victorian grunge meets science fiction on a large scale.

The train spent several months parked in the main street and includes a smoke, sound and light experience.
